Meet Kevyncia
Kevyncia Housen is a multidisciplinary artist that specializes in illustration, design, and video editing. She currently attends Rutgers University, where she is pursuing a BFA in Graphic Design with a minor in Art History. Kevyncia takes pride in being a multifaceted creator, known for her versatility in both style and subject matter, working across both digital and traditional media.
In her work, she explores themes of cultural, racial, and gender identity through visual storytelling. As an Afro-Caribbean woman born and raised in Antigua and Barbuda, her practice is deeply informed by her lived experiences. Drawing inspiration from her background as a first-generation immigrant born into a family of first-generation immigrants, she creates work that reflects on identity, belonging, and self-definition, inviting viewers to connect with shared and personal narratives.
